The Association for Moral Education (AME) The Association for Moral Education (AME)

The Association for Moral Education (AME) provides an interdisciplinary forum for professionals interested in the moral dimensions of educational theory and practice. The Association is dedicated to fostering communication, cooperation, training, curriculum development, and research that link moral theory with educational practice. It supports self-reflective educational practices that value the worth and dignity of each individual as a moral agent in a pluralistic society. The AME holds an annual conference, usually in North America or Europe, and has a biannual e-newsletter, AME Forum. AME's membership is international and the membership fee includes a subscription to the Journal of Moral Education.

Journal of Moral Education (JME) Journal of Moral Education (JME)

The Journal of Moral Education (a Charitable Company Limited by Guarantee) provides a unique interdisciplinary forum for consideration of all aspects of moral education and development across the lifespan. It contains philosophical analyses, reports of empirical research and evaluation of educational strategies which address a range of value issues and the process of valuing, in theory and practice, and also at the social and individual level. The journal regularly includes country based state-of-the-art papers on moral education and publishes special issues on particular topics. As the only international journal focusing on moral education and development, the JME has an international editorial board, is peer-refereed, and published by Taylor & Francis. In 2011 it celebrated its 40th anniversary with AME and APNME in Nanjing, China at a jointly-held conference and published a Special Issue "Moral Learning: integrating the personal, professional and political."
